Reiki is a gentle practice that can be hands-on, hands-above, or done at a distance. It helps your body relax, reset, and return to balance.
With distance Reiki, you receive the same support without being physically present. You simply rest in a comfortable space while I connect in a focused, intentional way. Most people experience it much like an in-person session. It often feels calming, grounding, and deeply relaxing.
If it helps, think of Reiki like a signal, similar to WiFi. I act as the transmitter, and your body is the receiver. We don’t have to be in the same place for the connection to work. Your body receives what it needs, wherever you are.
Life force energy, often called Chi, flows through and around all living things. It’s what gives us our sense of vitality and balance.
Over time, stress, overwhelm, and life experiences can disrupt the natural flow of this energy (sometimes referred to as the biofield). When that flow is restricted, we can start to feel "off" physically, emotionally, or mentally.
That might look like:
feeling anxious or on edge
struggling to focus or follow through
feeling overwhelmed, irritable, or not quite like yourself
Reiki is a gentle way to support the return to balance. It works by helping the body settle into a state where its natural healing processes can function more easily.
During a session, a trained practitioner acts as a bridge for Reiki energy. Hands are placed lightly on or just above the fully clothed body, allowing the energy to flow where it’s needed. The practitioner’s personal energy isn’t transferred—Reiki comes from its own source.
Most people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing. Some feel warmth, tingling, or subtle movement; others simply feel calm or even fall asleep. However it shows up, your body is still receiving what it needs.
One of the key benefits of Reiki is that it helps shift the nervous system out of “fight or flight” and into a more restorative state—often called “rest and digest.” This is where the body can focus on repair, regulation, and overall well-being.
Reiki works across physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels, and is best thought of as a supportive, complementary practice. It’s not a replacement for medical care, but something that can work alongside it.
You don’t need to believe in anything for Reiki to work. You don’t need to prepare, perform, or understand it.
It’s simply a space where your body can settle, reset, and receive support—exactly as you are.
